Steve Robson

Professor
Professor Robson first began work with Flinders Fertility in 1993, working with world-renowned IVF expert the late Professor John Kerin in his fertility clinic. Prof Robson successfully completed two years of full-time training in IVF and fertility through Repromed in Adelaide in 1998-99.
During that time he was Awarded the FSA Young Clinician’s Prize for his research into male fertility surgery, and was awarded the RANZCOG Travelling Fellowship to study reproductive medicine in Canada. Professor Robson was one of the first doctors in Australia to complete the Master of Medicine degree in reproduction and genetics.
His research has been published in the most prestigious international fertility journals – Fertility and Sterility, and Human Reproduction. He is a member of the NHMRC Human Embryo Research Committee, and in 2019 received the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists highest award – the Distinguished Service Award.
He is Chair of the RANZCOG Genomics Working Group, and a member of the National Endometriosis Advisory Group.

Professor Robson has a commitment to providing patients with affordable care. He is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Out-of-Pocket Costs. For women with appropriate hospital cover, he will always perform surgery – even the most complex endometriosis surgery – at ‘no-gap’ rates to minimise the financial impact at a difficult time.
